The Christmas Pudding Run December 4th 2016

Once again this day out was a resounding success. A full Hotel on which must have been the best Autumn day we have had. After everyone had booked in and received their instruction booklet and rally plaque, we headed for our welcome cuppa and mince pie. It was good to meet up with old friends, and have a good chat as we classic car enthusiasts do.

After attaching our colourful rally plaque with the cable ties provided we set off at staggered intervals through Ilkley and out into the beautiful countryside of our beloved County of Yorkshire.
The run was approximately 45 miles taking in areas such as Embsay – Eastby – Barden, Pateley Bridge and Barden. Appletreewick – Greenhow and Bewerley. A turn left at the Stonehouse pub dropping down to the Mackenzies Smokehouse. A first for me, and what a delight to see all the food and gifts on offer. Many of our entrants called in to enjoy the ambience of the place and spend time browsing and perhaps  to buy Christmas presents…

Onwards on the last stage of this most enjoyable run back to the hotel, where on arrival we were all greeted at the entrance by the most loveliest fairy (Hannah) I’ve ever seen. “Not to mention Santa”. We all sat down to a lovely meal, followed by Charles thanking everyone who came along to make the day such a success. A few drinks together with a Christmas raffle and everyone came away with a gift from Santa and his fairy.

Well done to everyone involved with the day (too many to mention).
Best wishes and see all of you in the New Year.
