Castle Howard Classic Car Show -17th June.

This year the Fathers’ Day Classic Car show at Castle Howard is being run by Classic Shows. Entry forms are available at their website (www.classicshows.org )

A batch of free tickets has been arranged for the club. Most of them have been allocated but there are still a small number left. Get in touch quickly if you want one.

Tickets can be bought of course (£4.50 per car) from Classic Shows.(01484 667776). If you want to be on a club stand they need you to tell them.

This is an excellent show every year, with good food and drink available and a great selection of cars, all in a world famous setting. Somehow the weather always seems to be good – don’t know how they do it.

Our club is having a large stand at the show, possibly one of the biggest, so all are welcome. Do tell us if you are coming so that we can plan our pitch properly. Last year we put on a good display with about 22 cars and received positive comments from visitors. We have more cars coming this year already (April).

Sadly the show has a reputation for traffic jams going in and out. We recommend getting there early to avoid arrival queues, and when leaving don’t head for the A64, ANY other way out is better.
